Something dark is stirring in Korlune, and there’s only one person who sees it; brilliant, but haunted, Master-Tech Nash Korpes. Freshly escaped from the clutches of Korlune Military Research and Development he finds safety within the ranks of tech giant Harlo-Fyre. On the surface, the future appears bright, but dangerous forces lurk in the periphery. Nash is plagued by self-doubt, unreliable friends and a punishing work schedule that could tip him over the edge.

As the line between friend and foe blurs and friction between Korlune’s military factions reach boiling point, Nash is forced to act. Will he ever find peace, or will he be distracted just when he needs to focus?

Tinker Books Publishing’s Review: 5-Stars

Doctor Nash Korpes, a man with a grudge and an agenda to satisfy his need for revenge on the clans that control his world. The clans that control the economy and the government of the Korlune and the Thalen Cluster consider the Diasporans to be something less than human. They are different from those born of the clans, taller, blond, and blue-eyed they are easy to spot in a crowd. His lover and child have disappeared, believed to have been killed in the KMR&D attack on Astel. Working in his lab at for virtually no pay Nash plots his method of revenge, to break the power and control of the clans over Korlune, releasing the diasporan citizens from life as lower class, less than humans who are used as pawns and guinea pigs by the huge corporations that are run by the clans.

Well written and beautifully formatted I found this book a difficult one to put down. Intrigue, suspense, and violence drive the plot forward while the social issues give the reader something to keep them engaged at every turn of the page. The characters are well developed and the events are so well done that everything in the story dovetails perfectly.

This being book two in the series it could benefit from a prologue to a bit of background to the story, for those who have not read book one, the Kopres File.

Lovers of dystopian science fiction will find this story of high tech, social injustice a thought-provoking read that will stir the emotions and delight the audience through every chapter.

Sherry Terry’s Review: 5-Stars

I like J. I. Rogers writing, and The Korpes Agenda confirmed this fact yet again. I love the book. Simple as that. The cover fits the story perfectly. Once you start reading, you can clearly see the characterization shining through.

The writing is well done. The characters jump off the page, landing on your couch for a visit. The science fiction is new and crisply done, dropped in, making me feel like I was living in the era of the book. J. I. Rogers takes on the ride of life with some great obstacles to overcome for the main character Nash.

I really liked the character, Davis. He is portrayed as a fun-loving guy, and he is equally as fleshed out as the main character.

The very beginning was a tad confusing for me, lots going on and stuff, but that did not last, and I went on a great adventure. As far as I’m concerned, The Korpes Agenda is extremely well done. You need this book, you really do.
